Who Are the Archangels?: How to Know an Angel is Near and How to Connect with Guardian Angels

Who are the Archangels and how do Angels communicate with us?
Archangels are considered to be powerful spiritual beings in various religious and esoteric traditions. They do not adhere to human social conventions, so they do not assume gendered identities. So, you will often hear Angels referred to in the “they” singular form. They often appear as humanly figures of light, sometimes with wings to make their angelic status known to us. You may meet and commune with an angel in your dreams, receive messages from them during meditation or times of stillness and silence, or when contemplating in Nature or at sacred, holy sites.
Personally, my experiences with Archangels came to me through synchronicities where I’d been protected or given sudden valuable insights and moments of clarity, followed by flashes of coloured lights that I only learned later meant the presence of specific Angels. It started when I was in a very traumatic time in my life, and every time I would close my eyes and ask for help from the divine, I would receive comforting messages that felt like a whisper to my soul, always followed by glowing blue and yellow lights that sometimes formed images behind my eyelids. These messages were accompanied by the sounds of unexplained tinkling bells, chimes, or high-pitched frequencies. This became an everyday occurrence for me, until I happened to discover some information that showed me these were common signs indicating the presence of my Guardian Angels.
My life has been saved by Archangel Michael many times, and to confirm it was their guidance that saved me, I would see and hear their name everywhere I went. I have even suddenly found myself stopping what I am doing, feeling called to pray to Archangel Michael for the safety of a loved one, only to learn a few hours later that at that exact time, my loved one had been in an horrible accident and walked away with only scratches. I have had vivid, “clear light” dreams where Angels, great beings of light with magnificent feathered wings, have communicated with me about my purpose and soul path in this lifetime.
Whether or not you believe that Angels are real, or whether or not you were born into a cultural tradition or faith that accepts them, I believe that everyone who is pure of heart has access to the unconditional love, light and guidance of Archangels. I only started to acknowledge their presence in my life when the “coincidences” became far too prominent, frequent and profound to deny them any longer.
